The Northern Perula is a favorite of mine. In fact, if I was a bird, I’d probably be this species. We have a lot of common likes: old growth forests; birch, sycamore and hemlock trees; coffee in the winter; old man’s beard (I love my husband’s chin growth, and Perulas build their nest with Old Man’s Beard lichens!); and our singing is warbly. Eating bugs for dinner is where I go a different path.
A good friend inspired me to paint this for her when she so graciously knitted me a beautiful scarf.
Of course, it’s not for sale, but contact me if you might like a tiny print.
